Most of what happens at Atelier Sa Nou Vize happens because somebody gave their time. If you can teach, drive, cook, repair, record, translate or simply sit with a child who is struggling with a text, there is a place for you here.

Tutors and volunteers

Our remedial classes run during term time in the afternoons and on Saturday mornings. We look for people who are comfortable with primary and lower secondary work in French, English or mathematics, and who can commit to the same slot each week, because the children need the same face in front of them rather than a different one every month. No teaching qualification is required and we train you ourselves. Anyone working with our children follows our child protection rules without exception.

Students and interns

We take interns in social work, education, communication and administration, and we sign the paperwork your institution requires. Tell us what your placement needs to cover and how long it runs, and we will tell you honestly whether we can give you that experience.

Gifts in kind

Stationery, school bags, children’s books in French and English, sports equipment, non perishable food for the families we follow, and working computers all go straight into use. If you are clearing an office or a classroom, ask us before you throw anything away.

Schools, companies and associations

We work with other organisations on joint activities, from workshops and outings to shared projects with schools. If your institution is looking for a partner in the south of the island, we are open to the conversation.

Starting is simple

Send us a message saying what you would like to do and when you are free. We will reply with the next step, and if we are not the right place for what you have in mind we will say so and point you elsewhere.
