Atelier Sa Nou Vize is the operating arm of Mouvement Forces Vives, a Mauritian association working in Rose-Belle since 2000. We are accredited by the National Social Inclusion Foundation under registration NCSRF/2017/0178, which means a company may direct its corporate social responsibility funds to our programmes and account for them in the ordinary way.

For companies and foundations

Our programmes run on a yearly cycle and each one can be sponsored on its own, whether that is remedial education for children who have fallen behind, the pre-primary classroom, the holiday activities, the recording studio that gives young people a trade, or the social work that reaches families in their homes. A sponsor receives a written agreement setting out what the money covers, a report at the end of the cycle with figures and photographs, and an open invitation to visit the centre unannounced.

If your company is deciding where to place its contribution this year, write to us and we will send a proposal costed for the programme that interests you, together with our registration documents and accounts.

For individuals

Giving does not have to be large to matter here. A monthly standing order of a few hundred rupees keeps one child in tutoring for a term, and a single gift pays for the books and materials a class gets through in a month. We can also receive gifts in kind, and the things we need most often are stationery, school bags, children’s books in French and English, non perishable food for the families we follow, and working computers.

Write to us on WhatsApp or through the contact form and we will send you our bank details and a receipt for your records. Every gift is recorded in our accounts, which are audited each year.

Where the money goes

We are a small organisation and the money does not travel far before it reaches a child. The centre on Kulpoo Lane belongs to the association, so nothing there is spent on rent and the building works for the children rather than for a landlord. What your support pays for is the rent of our second premises at No. 73, Résidence Bethléem in Rose-Belle, the electricity and water of both buildings, the educators who teach the remedial classes, the meals and the learning materials the children get through, and the running of the recording studio. Our accounts and our annual report are available on request and are filed each year with the National Social Inclusion Foundation.
